Transformation: Derelict sheds to outdoor eating area

BRIEF - We were asked by our client to turn three derelict sheds into a functional eating area with their outdoor dining table and fire pit and a 'Whiskey Hut' at one end. The client wanted to reuse as much of the original wood and stone as possible to create the new space.

Before: We began by knocking the walls down whilst saving as much stone as possible to reuse in the new structure.

During:

We had to rebuild and strengthen part of the back wall and used stone from the inner walls to build a stone wall at one end, whilst a timber structure formed the 'Whiskey Hut' at the other end. The floor was also very uneven so required levelling.

After:

Our client then wanted to create a terrace to link the French doors of house to the outdoor eating area.

We thoroughly enjoyed this project which included many aspects such as landscaping, stone walling and building the timber frame. We are very pleased that our clients were happy with it too:

" We were so pleased with the amazing transformation that Chris made to our run down sheds. He reused all the original stone and old doors. Now it is an amazing outdoor eating area."
