BRIEF: Chris had worked at this property for over 10 years for the previous owners. As he knew the grounds so well, the new owners asked him to continue working at the property and the first project was to transform the existing duck pond area, previously home to rare breed ducks, into a formal party garden. The project was inspired by the client's favourite garden at Hestercombe Gardens.
Before:
Once the pond had been removed and the area was levelled out, we improved the soil quality and drainage before starting to lay out the plans for the new garden.
After:
The project is complete and the plants are in and are maturing and it is such a vast difference from the rare breed duck pond it once was. Now it is the perfect entertaining space for any social occasion.
